MATT KEMP GOES ALL-IN FOR “ANTE UP FOR AUTISM”

Matt Kemp, centerfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers and spokesperson for Talk About Curing Autism (TACA), returns for a second year to co-host “Ante Up For Autism”, a celebrity casino event which raised over $175,000 during last year’s inaugural event to help TACA fund educational programs and services for families affected by autism. Kemp will co-host the event alongside Dave Stewart, former pitcher for the Oakland A’s and World Series MVP.

Taking place on March 6, 2010 in Phoenix, AZ, “Ante Up For Autism” is a celebrity-packed evening of cocktails, dinner and entertainment inside the Penske Racing Museum, which will be converted into a professional casino venue for the evening. This year’s confirmed celebrity guests include Danica Patrick (Indy 500), Donovan McNabb (Philadelphia Eagles), Ricky Henderson (Hall of Famer), David Justice (former MLB star), Torii Hunter (Anaheim Angels), Claudia Jordan (Sirius/XM “The Foxxhole”), Los Angeles Dodgers teammates James Loney, Russell Martin, Orlando Hudson, Casey Blake, Chad Billingsley and other MLB players across the league.

The professional poker stars that have signed on to participate in the event include Robert Williamson III, Tiffany Michelle a.k.a. “Hot Chips”, Maria Ho and Jamie Gold a.k.a. “The Poker Philanthropist”.

“My little brother Carlton has autism and TACA has helped me and my family cope by providing us with a lot of information, support and resources,” says Matt Kemp. “I am honored to do my part in making a difference in the lives of others, and hope to continue an event like this for years to come.”
